Coffee Table Re-finishing
During a cold winter break, I decided to re-finish an old coffee table in my apartment. Unfortunately I don’t have many before and after pictures, but it was a very nice way to keep myself occupied while on vacation!
The table had a lot of scuffs and scratches, and the old glossy finish was coming off; I used sandpaper and elbow grease to remove all the old finish and get rid of the scuffs and surface scratches, and then finished the table with danish oil for a more natural finish.
A few more pictures:
Before and after sanding and finishing; as can be seen, I wasn’t able to get off all the scuffs, but they are less noticeable than before and blend quite well.
I decided to leave the legs untouched as I liked the color and the contrast it provided with the natural wood color.
Sanding process!
